Star chef Toni Mörwald says, “Dinner is served.” For ROMANTIKER, he has created a winter dish and shares the recipe.

Toni Mörwald is one of the most famous and talented chefs in Austria. And he has a motto that couldn’t be truer: “Mealtime is lifetime. If you don’t have time to eat, you don’t have time to live,” says the 52-year-old. Young Toni grew up with his parents’ restaurant and he was fascinated by their cooking skills from early childhood on. The world of flavors and aromas made it inevitable that only one job would come into consideration for him: chef. An unparalleled career followed. After cooking with his culinary mentor Reinhard Gerer, he honed his skills with a number of grand chefs from all over the world. At the age of 22, he received his first Gault Millau toque. Today, he runs four restaurants, two of which have been awarded three toques, Austria’s highest culinary honor.
